The Strohacker School of Design is opening its doors to a new intake this Autumn. It offers 3 and 9 month fast-track, commercial-ready, course in graphic design. The School is based at the Bognor Regis campus of Chichester University in its well-equipped Learning Resource Centre. The school will be run by Bill Strohacker who has worked in design and education for over 25 years as a creative director, designer & educator. Construction logo maker can be a formal or casual design but should immediately identify the business specialty.
The patrons include Jamie Hewlett and Alan Martin (creators of the Tank Girl comic strip) Jamie also co-created the virtual pop band, Gorillaz. Vince Frost, who has worked with clients such as Qantas and the Sydney Opera House. Lady Pippa Blake who is a world-renowned and accomplished fine artist, currently based in Sussex.
“Read up on what the college can offer you and the unbelievable combined experience of tutors and patrons. Wonderful people, and an unbeatable start if you’re thinking of a career in design.”
Jamie Hewlett & Alan Martin
Head Lecturer on the course is John McFaul, he’s been working at the forefront of contemporary design for the past 20 years, working with global brands including Pepsico, Levi’s and New Balance. The team also includes: Carol Seatory (illustrator/graphic designer), Nick Williams (apparel design), Sarah Arnett (illustration/design in fashion) and Ian Edwards (advertising creative).
The course will focus on exactly what a modern design agency is looking for; practical studio experience, live briefs and portfolio-driven. Places are limited to keep the class sizes low and contact hours high. One of the key differences with the Strohacker Design School, is that support won’t finish at the end of your course, the team will guide you to getting that design job. So you could be trained (by the best) and in your dream design job within 6 months.
